In sports, in recruiting, and in life, you end up with one of two things: A.) Results or B.) Reasons you didn’t get them.

Reasons require rationalization (excuses). Results can be left alone. They don’t need reasons. Do you want Results in the recruiting process or Reasons you didn’t get recruited? It is up to you. There is a mental game within recruiting. You will experience ups and downs just like in your sport. The recruiting process will test your commitment, your love for your sport and your confidence. This mental game can be enjoyable or stressful. You decide. You are in control.

Trivia Tuesday: Anderson’s Management Communications Program

Hello and welcome to our weekly edition of Trivia Tuesday, in which we take an in-depth look into the elements that differentiate the leading MBA programs from each other. This week we’re going to examine UCLA Anderson’s Management Communications Program as profiled in the Clear Admit School Guide to UCLA Anderson.

“Anderson’s Management Communication Program uses lectures, case studies, coaching and group projects to teach students the ins and outs of effectively communicating with superiors, subordinates and clients. At the core of the program is the elective course Management 422: Analysis and Communication, taught each spring by Professor Janis Forman, who founded the program 25 years ago. Special Report A Matter of Leadership is Part of ‘American Graduate: Let’s Make It Happen’ a National Public Media Initiative to Address the Dropout Crisis

Ideas in Action with Jim Glassman, the nationally distributed public television series on ideas and their consequences announces its first documentary, A Matter of Leadership is coming to public television beginning on April 1, 2012. This special one-hour HD program is presented as part of American Graduate: Let’s Make It Happen, a national public media initiative funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to help communities across America address the high school dropout crisis.

A Matter of Leadership: An Ideas in Action Special Report on Ending America’s Dropout Crisis is a co-production of Grace Creek Media and the George W. Bush Institute.

Poll: Which of the past 6 SEC national champions is the best?

The real winner of Monday night’s BCS National Championship Game was the Southeastern Conference. For the sixth straight season, a team from the SEC has won the national championship. That got us wondering, which of the six recent SEC champions, is the best team? Here is a breakdown of each and our poll question:

Alabama (2011)

Buzz: The Crimson Tide started the season ranked No. 2 in both The Associated Press and USA Today coaches’ preseason polls. Alabama opened with eight straight wins before a Nov. 5 matchup with then No. 1 LSU. In that game, the Tide missed four field goals as the Tigers went on to win a 9-6 overtime thriller.
