Software Makes Language Learning Easier
Learning language from a computer cant be more effective than learning from an instructor, can it? New studies are demonstrating otherwise: because students can see the written word at the same time they hear the spoken pronunciation, they learn faster and more effectively. Multiple inputs help cater to different learning styles and also keep students engaged. More schools are embracing programs like Byki Online, which offers a written input, an auditory input, and a visual input for each word or phrase. This gives students a more holistic experience than merely hearing an instructor pronounce the word, .
Let us point out, however, that this is not an either/or situation. Teachers and technology are not in competition, nor should they be. Neither one is as effective as the combination of the two. Transparent Language believes that the most complete learning experience occurs when teachers and technology are blended together. Weve been hearing from Transparent Connect students who feel the same way: I learned the language outside of class and practiced using it during class, which worked perfectly for me.
